They say that a dog is a man's best friend. Well, for about eighteen years we shared our lives with man's best friend. He was by our side in the good times as well as the bad. His love was unconditional and his loyalty unsurpassed. In the later part of the eighteen years my husband David kept telling me, "Flash is getting older," trying to prepare me for the inevitable. In March of 1999 our worst fear became a reality. The pain of his death was overwhelming. Flash was so much a part of our lives that there wasn't a day that went by that we weren't reminded of just how much a part of our lives he was. In loving memory of our best friend and the days that have now passed, we decided to start breeding show quality snow white German Shepherds in his honor. We purchased a male from Silver Kennel in Utah and named him Seegar. Seegar is the closest we will ever come to Flash. He is indeed worth his weight in gold. Since then we have purchased other show-quality snow white Shepherds which have also complemented our efforts.
